	KENTUCKY THEATRE ASSOCIATION SETC SCREENING AUDITIONS November 8th and 9th University of Kentucky Lexington, KY Greetings. For this year's audition screening process, we are very excited to be back on the campus of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. There are no significant changes and issues to point out this year, but keep in mind: The entire registration process is done ONLINE. This means once again that you will not only fill out your SETC paperwork on line BUT your KTA state registration will also be done on line through the SETC website (just as we did last year!) Online registration instructions are available at the link below. These instructions at the link below will take you through the process completely: http://www.setc.org/auditions/KY/ All applicants need ONE reference this year · This year the deadline for submission of registration forms is OCTOBER 22nd. This deadline is FIRM! I cannot stress this enough. If you are not registered by this time, *YOU WILL NOT GET TO REGISTER. There will be NO exceptions. · Based on policy changes at SETC, auditionees who do NOT pass the screening may either: a) sign up to go through actor/tech walk through at SETC b) sign up for DANCER ONLY auditions. For more info on either of these, contact the SETC central office. Contact info can be found at www.setc.org · For all KTA auditionees TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!* If you go over time on your audition, you will no have a total of THREE POINTS deducted from your final score. As those of you who have been through this process know, this can easily mean the difference between passing the screening or not. This directive is not local, it comes down straight from SETC, so do not take this lightly. MAKE SURE YOUR AUDITION FALLS WITHIN THE TIME LIMITS! (60 seconds for acting only, 90 seconds for acting/singing) · Also, in regards to time, please remember that Lexington is in the EASTERN TIME ZONE. Keep that in mind when you're planning your travel. · When you register for the KTA auditions, you must pay the KTA audition fee upfront (30 dollars for students, 45 dollars for non-students) If you are passed on to the screening auditions, you must register and pay your spring SETC audition fee by NOVEMBER 24th, or you will forfeit your audition slot. This deadline is also set in stone. · Remember that if you (or your students) have some type of time constraint and need to be scheduled on a specific day, let me know asap by contacting me personally (contact info below) and I'll do my best to make reasonable accommodations.
