2011 Professional Development Day
This annual Professional Development Day is designed for teachers with all levels of experience teaching drama at all grade levels. KTA’s Professional Development Day is held in conjunction with their annual conference, which offers a high school one-act play festival, a community theatre play festival, the Roots of the Bluegrass New Play Award, and state-screening auditions for performers seeking acting opportunities around the country.
In addition to hands-on, participatory sessions there will be a session that will bring statewide updates to conference participants. This is an opportunity for classroom teachers to meet representatives from organizations like the Kentucky Department of Education, the Kentucky Arts Council, and others in a small group setting.
Participating educators are eligible for six hours of Professional Development credit.
