Kentucky Shakespeare Festival is currently seeking applications from rural theatre artists to participate in a week-long professional development training and a new on-line distance learning program designed to help artists bring their craft to the classroom. Selected participants will receive a stipend on completion of the program and be eligible for Kentucky Shakespeare Festival’s teaching roster for the 2010-2011 school year.
Requirements:
• Applicants must have a theatre or education background
• Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree.
• Applicants must be available to attend the training session in Louisville July 27th- July 31st.
• Applicants must reside in or be willing to work in rural Kentucky.
• Applicants must be able to provide their own transportation.
Preferences: Experience and/or education in classical theatre and teaching youth. Persons of color encouraged to apply.

• Provide one letter of recommendation from a person who is familiar with your theatre and/or teaching skills.
