SETC SCREENING AUDITIONS - KENTUCKY
April Marshall, SETC Representative – 336-272-3645 or april@setc.org
During the 62nd Annual SETC Convention held March 2-6, 2011 in Atlanta GA combined Professional Auditions for approximately 90 professional hiring theatres are offered as part of the annual convention. SETC requires that all pre-professional actors be screened on the state level before being accepted to these auditions.
Actors currently enrolled in school, whether or not they have earned a salary acting, must attend the state screening auditions in the state assigned for the school where they attend. Auditionees must register for the state screenings and must apply online for the SETC Auditions.
High School students are not eligible to participate in state screenings.
Graduate students in their final semester of an MFA Theatre Performance program may be eligible to apply directly to SETC, provided they meet professional requirements, and should contact the SETC office well in advance of State Application
Kentucky State Screening Auditions
November 6-7, 2010
Centre College
Danville, KY
Kentucky Registration Period: September 15-October 20, 2010 (11:59 PM CST)
For the 2010 audition screening process, the entire registration process is done online. This means once again that you will not only fill out your SETC paperwork on line but your KTA state registration will also be done through the SETC website. Online registration instructions are available at the link below. These instructions at the link below will take you through the process completely: http://www.setc.org/auditions/KY/
If you are not registered by October 20, 2010 at 11:59 PM CST, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER. There will be NO exceptions.
When you register for the KTA auditions, you must pay the KTA audition fee of $40 for students and $55 for non-students. If you are passed on to the SETC auditions, you must register and pay your spring SETC audition fee by NOVEMBER 22, 2010, or you will forfeit your audition spot.
For KTA screening auditions, if you go over time on your audition, you will have points deducted from your final score. This can easily mean the difference between passing the screening or not. This directive is not local, but from SETC.
MAKE SURE YOUR AUDITION FALLS WITHIN THE TIME LIMITS!
