The Director of Marketing and Communications supports the highest strategic priorities of the theatre; expands, develops and maintains the theatre’s audience through effective communication of the mission, vision and programming activities; develops and executes the strategy to generate all earned ticket revenues for the theatre; and leads a staff of 9 full-time and 12 part-time professional and support personnel involved in marketing, publicity, sales (groups, telemarketing, festival), event rentals and graphic design.
Actors Guild of Lexington, Central Kentucky’s premiere professional not-for-profit theatre, celebrating its 25th season, seeks qualified candidates for Managing Director. The Managing Director partners with the Artistic Director and is responsible for overall management of finances, fundraising, marketing and day-to-day operations of the administrative staff. Requirements: BA/BS degree; theatre management experience in not-for-profit theatre; finance/budgeting; excellent communications and computer skills. Glema Mahr Center for the Arts announces auditions for the US Bank Community Theatre performance of The Wiz Adapted from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, Book by William F. Brown, Music and Lyrics by Charlie Smalls
Fountain Square Players (FSP) will be conducting auditions for Crazy for You, book by Ken Ludwig, music by George Gershwin, lyrics by Ira Gershwin, and directed by Kathy Wise-Leonard, on Monday and Tuesday, May 12 and 13. This is FSP’s fifth and final show of the 2007-2008 season. Auditions will be held at the Capitol Arts Center, beginning at 7:00 PM. The show calls for a large cast. Please bring a song and be prepared to sing. An accompanist will be provided. Performances will take place at the Capitol Arts Center on July 17-20, 2008. Help will also be needed with set construction, costumes, props and stage crew, so even if you are not interested in auditioning, please come sign up to help with other aspects of the production.
